The Laboratory for Anti-Corruption Policy (LAP) was created in 2009 by the National Research University Higher School of Economics in partnership with the Centre for Anti-Corruption Investigations and Initiatives "Transparency International – R". The laboratory is headed by Dina Krylova and focuses on the three key areas of activity: anti-corruption education, implementation of applied anti-corruption projects, and academic research on combating corruption.
Our 11th Anti-Corruption Policy Summer School is over. We have done a great job together with our participants. This time we were joined by 40 trainees from different universities of Russia, 20 of them are students of the Higher School. Some participants have repeatedly participated in PULAP projects, some of them are studying in the Master's program "Compliance and Prevention of Legal Risks", and some students participated in our Summer School for the second time!
This was discussed by the participants of the Compliance Club of the National Research University Higher School of Economics at the regular meeting of the Club on June 21, 2022. Representatives of companies and invited experts shared their views on how compliance is changing in the new environment, their experience in overcoming difficulties, defined the possible development strategy, goals, and objectives of the compliance function in the new environment.
Research and Practice Conference "Artificial Intelligence in Preventing Legal Risks and Combating Corruption
On April 7 the joint with the Faculty of Law scientific and practical conference "Artificial Intelligence in the prevention of legal risks and anti-corruption" took place. This is the 4th joint conference, which is traditionally held within the XXIII Yasin (April) International Scientific Conference on the problems of development of economy and society.
On March 17 the Project and Training Laboratory of Anti-Corruption Policy together with its partner law firm "Pepeliaev Group" held a meeting of the Compliance Club of the National Research University Higher School of Economics on "Legal and compliance risks of companies in the new realities". Krylova Dina - the moderator of the Club, head of the HSE PULAP, Public Ombudsman for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights in the field of anti-corruption, welcomed everyone and addressed the audience with opening remarks, noting the importance and relevance of this meeting in the current environment.

As always, our annual December conference is dated to the International Anti-Corruption Day. It was a global event consisting of two sessions, the first was allocated to discussing university anti-corruption programs, and the second to corporate educational programs. This year's event was taken in a mixed format, but most of the participants attended online. The Conference was attended by members of Moscow and regional Russian universities, who shared their experience of anti-corruption education with those present. The moderator was Krylova Dina Vladimirovna, Head of the HSE PULAP, Public Ombudsman in the sphere of Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights in the Field of Anti-Corruption, expert of the Council of Europe.

On June 4 in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Office of the Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights and the HSE Anti-Corruption Policy Design and Training Laboratory held a round table on the topic "Anti-corruption requirements for Organizations: problems of regulation and law enforcement". The conference was organized by the laboratory together with the HSE Faculty of Law as part of the XXII April International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development. The meeting was moderated by Dina Krylova, Head of the Laboratory for Anti-Corruption Policy, Entrepreneur`s rights in the area of anti-corruption Public Ombudsman, expert of the Council of Europe.
On March 3, a regular meeting of the HSE Compliance Club was held jointly with the Club's partner, the Pepelyaev Group law Firm. The event was held in a mixed format for the first time in recent months. Some of the participants were present in person. The topical topic "Checking employees: limits, legal problems, best practices" was discussed.
